Renaissance Sports Rises in Atlanta

Former Helios employees reorganize to serve new sports marketing clients

Following the recent closure of the Atlanta headquarters of Helios Partners, a group of former Helios employees has announced their reorganization under the name, Renaissance Sports.  The company will serve new and existing business that can no longer be effectively served by the remaining Helios entity, now headquartered in Paris.  Complete information about the new company is available at www.renaissance-sports.com.

“We expect to maintain a strong working relationship with Helios and its parent company, the Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO), as we continue to partner with them on selected client engagements,” said Kevin Donovan, who is leading the new organization.  “The marketing opportunities in sports are greater than ever.  Sports are one of the last remaining shared experiences and investment continues to grow in parallel with its importance as a cultural institution.  We intend to take full advantage of these trends as we help our clients do the same.”

A prime target for Renaissance Sports will be companies with emerging brands that are considering sponsorships and those that are seeking to re-assess their existing sports marketing portfolios based on the current landscape.  Renaissance will also build upon the experience gained with Helios and focus on serving its three core customers: corporate commercial partners, sports property rights holders and, cities and countries bidding for major sports events.  The new company will maintain its home base in Atlanta and expand its reach through strategic partnerships in other cities in the United States and beyond.

Renaissance has also formed an executive advisory board which currently includes former Helios executives who are highly regarded leaders in the sports marketing industry, among them Lou Lauria, Vice President at UFC.  “Having maintained strong personal and professional relationships with many of the former Helios people, I’m excited about their prospects and the opportunity to support them,” said Lauria.
